Amy Thomas is a writer based in Paris and New York with experience across media and industries. |
||||
Amy started her career in advertising at J. Walter Thompson, San Francisco. From there, her copywriting developed at agencies both large and small, on the West Coast, then New York and, now, Paris. She has worked for clients such as Levi’s, Amazon, Redken, BMW and Louis Vuitton. Along the way, her interest in the editorial world evolved into a second career. With an endless curiosity about people and places, her work has covered fashion designers, perfumers, chocolatiers, and furniture makers, and destinations including Sydney, Dublin, the Caucus mountains and the Connecticut coastline. In addition to penning articles for various publications such as The New York Times and New York magazine, writing the Sweet Freak column for Metro newspaper, and working in the ad world, Amy blogs about New York's best sweets, and the co-author of an interior design book Convertible Houses (Gibbs Smith, 2007).
